Injury prevention and management within the dance environment
Recognition and treatment of dance-specific injuries including sprains, strains, dislocations and fractures
Recognise and respond to performance anxiety

Recognise and respond to an emergency situation
Assess and manage an unconscious person
Provide assistance or resuscitation using the DRSABCD action plan
Manage a choking casualty

Manage bleeding, burns, head injuries and spinal injuries

Recognise and respond to cardiac conditions
Manage a casualty experiencing a stroke, shock, seizure, asthma attack, anaphylaxis, hyperventilation or diabetic emergency

Recognise and manage minor wounds
Manage a casualty who has sustained a sharps injury or eye injury
Manage a drowning casualty
Manage a casualty suffering from hypothermia or hyperthermia

Manage a casualty who has been bitten, stung or poisoned

Communicate and accurately convey incident details to emergency services
Report incidents in accordance with workplace or site procedures
Complete relevant workplace documentation including incident report forms
Maintain privacy and confidentiality in line with statutory and organisational policies
Obtain consent from the casualty where possible

Perform a minimum of 2 minutes of uninterrupted single-rescuer CPR on infant and adult manikins on the floor
Operate an automated external defibrillator (AED) and deliver at least one shock following device prompts
Demonstrate single-rescuer operator rotation with minimal interruption to compressions
Respond appropriately in the event of regurgitation or vomiting

Yes, for HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Zoom sessions are available nationally. Equipment is posted to you before your session. Make sure to enrol before the cut-off date of your preferred time to allow for shipping of equipment.
Currently, CPR Refresher courses are in-person only.
